Shayne will be dearly missed.
He was always up for a chat and always had a smile on his face.
Go Pies! 🖤🤍
I offer my deepest sympathy and condolences to the Pearce family on the passing of Shayne Robert Murray Pearce.
I came to know Shayne as a person of warmth and kindness. He was one of those people whose friendly smile and genuine greeting of “How are you?” seemed to reflect his enjoyment of life and his interest in those around him. These simple encounters may have been brief, but they were always genuine, and I know I was not alone in appreciating them.
“Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all others.”
— Winston Churchill
Shayne faced personal health challenges in recent years, yet he continued to take pride in supporting his family in the best way he knew. His resilience and determination, together with his ability to enjoy each day, were qualities that those who met him could not help but admire.
Main Street in Cohuna, and those of us who regularly met Shayne there, sharing a friendly greeting, a smile, or a bit of banter, will certainly miss him.
I believe this is one of the special things about living in a small community. We may not all know one another closely, but regular encounters with people like Shayne make our town a welcoming and enjoyable place to live. Our community’s strength comes from our differences, our humour, our willingness to support one another and, above all, our kindness. These things create that genuine sense of belonging that is so important to us all.
May Shayne’s next journey be peaceful. He leaves behind many memories and stories that will remain with his family, friends and the wider community, and which will no doubt be recalled with affection for many years to come.
Farewell, my friend.
I will personally cherish our many meetings and conversations. Although they may often have been quite simple, I always came away from them feeling a little more positive about life in general. That, I believe, is a wonderful thing for any person to leave behind.
Yours sincerely,
Max Fehring
So beautifully written max. It would reflect a lot of his friends and acquaintances feelings which we couldn’t articulate into words. Thank you.
