Hank helped us out many times, giving timely assistance and welcome advice. We were always grateful for the fantastic tractor maintenance he provided. A great conversationalist, he made a tractor breakdown a little more bearable and much more entertaining.
Our commiserations to Hank’s family.
Nicole and Elaine Jones.

It is a Grand old Flag. Hank sang it loud and proud. A fellow “grumpy Dees tragic” who understood and suffered the ups and downs of being one.
Our thoughts are with your much loved family

Deepest condolences to Wendy and Family. Great man and fellow Dees supporter. Hold very fond memories talking with him and Luke about how the Demons were playing each year.
I can still picture Hank on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, sitting in the newly built sunroom having a Melbourne bottle watching a Dees game.

To Wendy and family. So sad to hear the passing of Hank. Many memories of Hank always at church playing the guitar, and always really enjoying it. I remember going to his work, if you ever had a problem with a Massey Ferguson tractor Hank was the man to see. When I casually worked for my friend Cliff Bourke at Pickering Transports next door I’d often go in and have a chat. Condolences to all the family and extended family, he will be greatly missed.
Condolences to Wendy & family. An original, with David Whitehead, Graeme Beatty & myself joined the Melbourne Football Club in 1988, went to a lot of games together over many years. Our success was limited but our support was unwavering. Took till 2021 to get the ultimate prize- a premiership. Thanks for being a Demon. Tell Squizzy, we are going OK this year.
Deepest sympathy to Wendy and family, so many wonderful memories of a man who always had a smile for everyone.
Ivan and Helen.
Many special memories from all who stood beside Hank in the south-west corner of St. Patrick’s and followed his lead with the music. I’ll especially miss his loud “Hip Hip” for the three cheers for anyone’s birthday announcements! He’ll forever be an iconic figure.

Glenise O’Connell.
To Hank’s extended family we express our sincere condolences. “A FEW YEARS BACK” Hank was a very valued member/teammate at the Wandella Football Club, for many years he owned the Reserves Leading Goal Kicking Award. As a mechanic he never let a problem beat him, he always said “there has got to be an answer”. A man who could be described as a ‘workaholic’, saying when he gave up work he would come and play bowls with us, probably next year? ?
Rest peacefully Hank, a true gentleman in all matters.
Edward & Gloria Fenton.
To Wendy, Craig, Anna, Gretta, Luke and family, deepest sympathy on the passing of Hank. He was a true gentleman. We will miss our chats with him.
Regards, Catherine and Marshall Rosewall.

To Aunty Wendy, Craig, Anna, Gretta, Luke and your loved ones, we are very sorry to hear of Uncle Hank’s passing. What a life well lived. We have so many wonderful memories growing up and sharing time with him (when he probably wished we just went home)! The Melbourne stubbies, apples everyday at lunch, the old Holden ute, the form guide at the dinner table. We thank you for the lovely times we shared – Cindy and Annie ♥️
Sincere condolences to Wendy and family. Hank was always friendly and enjoyed a chat. His contribution to the music at St Patrick’s was invaluable, always leading the ‘Happy Birthday’ for the parishioners. He will be missed. Rest in peace Hank, enjoy your reward in heaven.
