A Graveside Service for Mr Gordon William CHRISTIAN will be held at the Beulah Cemetery on FRIDAY (5th February, 2021) commencing at 2.00pm.

To Gordon’s family my Condolences Gordon was my first boss at Australia Post in 1971 I will always remember the good times we had at work and socially my biggest job was every Friday afternoon was to pickup the Best Bets at the newsagent sorry i never caught up after i left the area since 1990. Always remembered.

We would like to pass on our condolences to Gordon’s family, Gordon was a big part of our lives growing up as he our brother Peter and there MacArthur mate’s enjoyed there football and celebrated life. We remember Gordon for his friendship and smile and yes Gordon we do realise that Billy Pickens is the second best player to play for MacArthur.

The Hawkesdale Macarthur Football Netball Club, committee, players and members express our condolences on the passing of our Life Member Gordon Christian.
Gordon was a respected and long standing member of the club, from his celebrated playing days through to his unswerving support as a spectator and sponsor.
An ‘uncanny player’ Gordon played with Macarthur Football Club in the Port Fairy League where he excelled, winning the seniors Best and Fairest a total of 4 times (1963/65/66/71), A league Best and Fairest in 1963, Leading Goal Kicker in 1963 and played in two winning premierships in 1965 and 1970.
Gordon was named a life member in 1979.
A truly remarkable playing career, followed by dedication to the club – Gordon will be missed by many.
A lifetime of wonderful memories to cherish and hold dear from boarding with us, babysitting us, teaching me to drive, the postal runs, the competitive tennis matches, Collingwood bribery and the many, many Sunday sessions at mum and dads along with the many Sunday drives to Hammers and unforgettable tours around the countryside.. I know you missed dad terribly over the years, the old hut crew are reunited again. Rest easy Gordon we’ll miss you. Our sincere condolences to all Gordon’s family and friends.

We have known Gordon ever since to came to Macarthur to live. We caught up with him at football etc and He and our daughter were both crazy Collingwood supporters , and loved catching up.
