A Graveside Committal Service for Mrs Bernice Claire QUILLIAM will be held at the Terrapee Cemetery on MONDAY (13th July, 2026) commencing at 10:30am.

A Memorial Service will follow at the Boort Baptist Church commencing at 12 noon.

Bernice and Hedley were our neighbours on old port road at Montagu when my husband and I first moved in across the road. I still remember Bernice coming across the road with a pie to welcome us to the neighbourhood. They were a big part of our lives, we had 3 children and they were there for all the birthdays and christenings and were a very special couple who we were very fond of. Even when Bernice moved away, she still wrote and kept in touch with us, a beautiful lady at rest.

Dear Bernice, with whom I often shared my soul through conversations and phone calls. I have and will miss her, having her move away from Tassie a while ago. I am who I am today through her godly wisdom and love for our Lord. I look forward to seeing her in our heavenly reunion. I loved our long phone calls especially while Bernice had been in Canberra. She had so much godly influence and wisdom into my life – and many others that I know of. I feel sad too but we who have hope do not grieve as others who have no hope praise His Name. I also loved my visits to her in Smithton, and also later in Sydney especially when she lived with Mary and Noel.
Love to each of the families as you adjust to the earthly missing.

Bernice was a godly woman, who shared her faith and hope in Jesus. She loved the Lord firstly and consistently through many of life’s ups and downs.
Rob and I were privileged to see her when Andrew brought her to North Parramatta Gospel Chapel, for our 10 o’clock service.
For each of my birthdays Bernice would send me a card with love and news enclosed. Her handwriting was always neat even though it must have been difficult for her in recent years.
