My deepest sympathies to you all – Meghan, Nathan, Rogan, Zachary and Xavier at hearing of your father’s passing.
May he rest in peace. Take care and my thoughts are with you all, at this difficult time. 🩷
With love and sadness, we remember Michael, a deeply cherished part of our family – our brother-in-law, uncle, and godfather.
He will be remembered for his wonderful stories, kind heart, humour, and the deep pride he had in his family. His resilience through life’s hardships and tireless work ethic left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Today’s beautiful service was a fitting reflection of a life well lived and the love and respect so many held for him. It was clear in every word spoken that his children and grandchildren will carry that love and legacy forward.
While he will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved Kaye. May treasured memories of them both bring comfort in the days ahead.
Our heartfelt condolences to Meghan, Nathan, Rogan & Stefanie, Zachary & Simone, Xavier and your families.
Sending all our love,
Lorraine, Renata and Eric.

Life is my University, I hope to graduate with some distinction, Louise May Alcott.
On behalf of Denise and I, we offer our condolences to the McGann family,
Nathan, Meghan, Rogan, Zach and Xavier for the sad passing of your dad, Michael (Mike) McGann.
Like so many people, we have had a relationship with Michael for much of our lives while living in this community. Michael had a strong relationship with the Leitchville community, particularly the residents of O’Reilly’s Road, where he was raised in the McGann family and continued the farming tradition until his retirement.
What makes Michael so interesting is his home-spun stories, his way of thinking, and his philosophy, which he would freely share with you whenever you had the time to spend with him. Often, you had to make time, as Michael would certainly like to complete the thoughts he had at that time.
He was one of those people you meet who always left you feeling a little better about yourself, more informed, and perhaps sometimes wiser, and who endeavoured to share his knowledge, an enriching experience. Michael’s greatest gift to all of us was the way he enriched many lives and the great guidance and support he gave his family when he lost his lovely wife, Kaye, so long ago. Michael also never forgot where he came from, valuing highly the community in which he lived, his neighbours, and the wide range of organisations he joined, contributing in the best way he could. In so many ways, Michael shared his enjoyment of life most engagingly, leaving us all with many memories to cherish as we say farewell to him.
This verse, which I’ve come across on a piece of farm machinery, in so many ways captures Michael’s approach to life.
I expect to pass through this world, but once
Any good, therefore, that I can do
Or any kindness that I can show
Let me do it now
Let me not defer or neglect it for
I shall not pass this way again
Although Michael’s life journey has come to an end, he did graduate with distinction in honours. His achievement was raising a family of high standing, providing them all with confidence, wisdom, and knowledge. They now follow in your footsteps, Michael, contributing much to the communities in which they live.
Thank you for all the conversations Denise and I’ve had, from those early days of football at Leitchville to many other opportunities that have come as you’ve gone through life’s journey. Michael, you are now ready to start another one, with many reunions to come, continuing those stories and philosophy.

We were so sad to find out that our dear friend Mike has left us. Many a history lesson was learnt under Stan’s grape vines from this wise man. He kept our father Stan under control many a time on their road trips. We’re going to miss him when we’re home. A very special man.
