A Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Steven George KAYE will be held at the Boort Lawn Cemetery on FRIDAY (17th July, 2026) commencing at 1:00pm.

Steven, you were my favourite Uncle and I will miss you, I will miss hearing your voice on the phone especially the jokes, you always had great advice on life difficulties, still can’t believe it’s real, you we’re so lucky to have found your soulmate, Leila is the most beautiful, kind, funny person. I know I really don’t know how she’ll go without you tormenting her daily, she was so quick witted to give it straight back to you! Our thoughts are with you today Leila, Rachel, Corey, Ashley, extended families and your grandchildren. ♥️

Steve, our hearts are broken.
We have known each other for many years, I remember in our Cranbourne North days, I would come home from work and here you where sitting at the kitchen table with your best mate Steve, drinking a bottle of scotch.
Not once but on many occasions telling funny stories – you made us laugh so much and then you moved to Quambatook and we followed you.
Leila and Ashley and Jean welcomed us into your home until we where able to move into ours. You worked with Steve doing the house up, nothing was ever too much trouble, we where so eternally grateful to have met Steven George Kaye.
I wish could see you and tell you we always knew when Steve was ringing – he would never leave a message but we knew it was him.
If we did not speak once a day or show up and come have a drink on his way home, he made sure we where alright.
You wore your heart on your sleeve and you where a man of your word.
Now Leila, Rachel and Jason, Corey and Kim, Ashley and Chloe, remember we are here for all of you.
Steve’s best mate Steve and I will be there, your husband and father taught us the true meaning meaning of love and family.

As I sit here tonight full of grief and sorrow for we have been told that our dear friend and best mate has passed away. I could write a book about our adventures and misfortunes together, but my heart is not in it. A loving husband, father and grandfather. A generous person to those he knew him.
We will miss our frequent phone calls. Steve was more than a friend to our family, he was like a brother, but he was my best mate for some 50 years.

Saddened to hear of Steven’s passing. First met when I was a Real Estate Agent after selling him a house in Quambatook and now have the pleasure of being his sons neighbour.

When I think of you, the first words that come to mind are kindness, generosity, and a heart that always made people feel welcome.
I want to thank you for everything you did for James and me. Your support, your care, and the way you treated us with such warmth meant more than words can ever express. You never had to do the things you did, but you did them anyway, and I will always be grateful.
One of the greatest gifts you gave me was the love and kindness you showed James. Although he is still young, I will make sure he grows up knowing the wonderful man you were. I will tell him about your caring heart, your gentle nature, and how much you loved your family.
Your passing has left a space that can never truly be filled. While we grieve today, I hope we can also celebrate the incredible person you were and the many lives you touched. The love, wisdom, and kindness you shared will continue to live on in the people who knew you.
Thank you, Steve, for being such a good man and for welcoming James and me into your life. It was a privilege to know you, and we will carry your memory with us always.
Rest peacefully. You will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.
