Wallace, a well respected farming identity who, with Francie by his side, contributed to the agricultural industry, his church and the local community. “A good and faithful servant”.
Wallace was the last surviving member of his generation, of the Fawcett family.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Fond memories, Glenis Hawthorne (née Fawcett) Claire, Luke and Faith.
John, H, Russ, Wazza & Families,
At the age of 3 weeks, ( 86 years ago,) I became Dads neighbour the day Mum & Dad took me home from hospital to live next door him.
Your grandfather (Jack) and my grandfathers (George) farms were joined, where I lived until I was 10.
Then Dad brought the farm at Rangotts, south side of the Fawcett farm.
Remember Wallace and his model planes going round and round on their piece of string until crash!!
His singing with Don Robinson at Sand Hill Lake hall concerts, & Wandella football club nights.
I was bridesmaid at their wedding,- seems like yesterday.
A man who loved a joke, great sense of humour.
Many beautiful memories of Wallace, now happy for him to be reunited with his loved Francie..
Bev Robinson , Ron & Lyla Mahar ( both Dec.)

Wally and Francie, together again.

We were so sorry to hear of the death of Wallace. Another piece of my life’s jigsaw has fallen off the table. Wally was one of those people who made the day better when you met him. This started at the Normanville Hall when I was a tiny child and I heard him sing and play the guitar. I thought it marvellous. He and Francie were good people for the district.
We offer our condolences to John, Helen, Russell and Warren and their families.

Watching him fly and showing me how to fly the model aeroplanes in the paddock, learning how to navigate a go cart track, showing me how a tuba works, playing many a game of tennis, riding the motorbikes. he always had a good joke and a spring in his step A very kind, caring neighbour . One of a kind. Vale Wally

Wallace will be remembered for his services to his district and the people in it. [Rangotts, Normanville, Budgerum East, Sandhill Lake]
A Premiership Centre Half back for Wandella in the 1950’s [NO. 20].
Premierships at Sandhill Lake Tennis Club.
A man of Christian beliefs, firstly at Rangotts, then Sandhill Lake and in later years Kerang Uniting Church until his health started to fail him. This also lead to
him being very active in the Chaplaincy Concerts. In younger days Wallace & Don Robinson would put on some SKITS that were priceless at local functions.
Rest in Peace Wallace, after 5 long years you will now be back with Francie again.
Edward, Gloria Fenton & our extended family.
