Condolences to Sue, Ben, Phillip and Lisa on the passing of my dear friend of many years. The memories I have from Montuna Golf club, fishing on the bay at Westernport and the visits to Yarrawonga where there was always a bed and a place to stay for my wife and myself. Also, I would like to say that Garry’s Christmas card was always the first received.
Although many stories can be told, I would like to share this. On a visit some years ago Garry took me fishing to one of the numerous channels in the area. After setting up with several rods, all with tell tale bells on the tip, and Garry sitting on his fold up stool he soon nodded off and appeared to be asleep when a tinkle of a bell sounded. As quick as lightning Garry woke up, snapped the rod up so fast he fell over backwards. He was so annoyed with himself, not for falling over but for losing the fish.
Garry was always good company and will be missed in many ways, many memories will be cherished. RIP mate.

My heartfelt sympathies to all the family. We will miss Garry in our get togethers, Old school friend of many years, RIP Garry x
I have lost a true friend and great mate.
During my many visits to Yarra, Garry introduced me to numerous locals all of whom I now consider my friends.
I was always struck by Garry’s consideration of, and generosity to, others. He will surely be missed.
My future trips to Yarra will be emptier by not being able to enjoy Garry’s company. Nonetheless, his many friends will ensure that his memory and spirit will live on.
Lisa, Phil and Ben, Dad’s memory will remain with me always and my thoughts are with you at this very sad time. Take comfort from the positive impact that Dad had on so many people during his lifetime.
God bless you Garry,
Rest in peace mate.

Deepest sympathy Sue and family on Garrys passing. My thoughts are with you at this very sad time.
So sad to hear this news, condolences to all of the family. Garry kept in touch with me after Dad (John Wise) died and always asked how Mum was, also offering a get away in Yarrawonga for my family if we wanted. Selfless and always up for a chat. RIP Garry, a few beers with Jack might be in order.
