Elaine and family. The service today was a wonderful tribute to Jim. I will always remember him as hardworking and supportive of his mum, Aunty Irene. His laugh was the music of the farm. In recent times I loved the phone calls where we shared news of our families. He was my link to the Whelan clan. I felt so grateful that he took the time to call. Your loss will be great but your memories will always be with you. Today we all feel the sadness of his passing. Thinking of you all.
Dear Elaine & family, so very sad for your loss. Jim was such a loving, kind man, a great man to look up to. Our thoughts are with you all xxx Annette & Nobby

To Elaine and family, please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss of the “Big Man”. A wonderful mate and fellow councillor whilst we were Kerang Shire Councillors together. Jim’s support to me was exceptional, and we enjoyed many a laugh and joke as we worked together for the betterment of our whole Shire not just our own wards. That laugh will never be forgotten Jimmy. Your support of your community and the wider area was so respected. You now deserve your rest – a job well done my dear friend.
All my love and prayers to you all. An incredible man, leaving an incredible legacy in his beautiful family. Words cannot take away the pain, but grief is ‘all the unexpressed love…that will remain with us until we pass, because we never get enough time with each other, no matter if someone lives until 60, 15 or 99.’ Andrew Garfield
