Dearest Caroline and family, Very sad to hear of Bill’s sudden stroke and passing. We will always remember that wonderful smile and laugh; and above all, what a fun and fabulous person he was. Not a bad host either! It was a thrill to share time with Caroline and Bill on their trip to Christchurch a year or so ago and reciprocate in kind. Our hearts go out to you all. We feel your grief but know he leaves a great legacy in his family and friends. All our love Jennie and Chappy, Romayne and family.
Goodbye Bill

So sorry to hear about Bill, it only seems like yesterday that I spent many a summer holiday enjoying the hospitality and “hard work” at Red Hill. Our sincere condolences to the family at this very sad time.
Much love Bernard, Anna, Ella & Millie
I only had the pleasure of knowing Bill for a short time. What an absolute gentleman he was. Thinking of you all today as you say your final farewells.
So sorry to hear of Bill’s unexpected passing. Our condolences to you all. Have fond memories of the time I spent at Red Hill in much younger days. Though not apparent to me at the time, I learnt much from Bill in his quiet way, of life on the land, and living life to your best in whatever endeavours you undertook during that journey. He leaves a wonderful legacy through a life well lived.
