I grew up with Alan on the farm at Gunbower.
I was his older brother by 13 months.
Many , many memories of those times, mucking around in boats on the extensive waterways surrounding our farm, riding our bikes out to the Murray river, catching the bus to Cohuna High School, flying model aircraft and so on.
Those memories will stay with me forever.
Cliff Richards
Sincere condolences to Beth and the family on your loss of your husband and father. I was lucky to have known Alan over the 40 years I was in Gunbower. One of the true characters of town. Thinking of you all at this sad time, gone but never forgotten. From Cebu Philippines.
To Beth and families, my deepest condolences on the passing of “horsey”. So many good memories – Shane Gibbon (Nhulunbuy NT)
Growing up and through my adult years Alan was a man I admired so much. I was always waiting for what he would say next that would be funny or cheeky. Such a great sense of humour. I know he will be great missed. Deepest sympathy to Beth, Alannah, Louise, Kay, Sean, Crow & Stephen..
Deepest Sympathy to Beth and the family Our thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. Pedro and Claire Dickinson and family.
My dad, he had a big heart, and it just wore out. Everyone who knew him, loved and respected him, he gave me the right advise at the right time, and continued to love and support me warts and all. Dads physical being has left us but his loving spirit will live on with many of us for many years to come.
