Sincere condolences to Gwen, Shelley, Rick, Greg and Families on the passing of Vince.
Vince was a remarkable man who did so much for his family and the Murrabit community. He was the unofficial Mayor of Murrabit who worked tirelessly for the betterment of his community. The football netball club, the tennis club, the market, the church, the rec reserve, the hall, etc. He had a key to everything! His volunteer work was always done with no fanfare and he always had time to chat with you. I loved chatting with him on a weekly basis before juniors training for nearly 20 years. A man with so much knowledge and wisdom.
He will be so sadly missed but he has left us with a wonderful legacy and so many memories.
Unfortunately I can’t attend the funeral due to illness.
Rest in peace Vince (Mr Murrabit)

Deepest condolences to Gwen, Shelley, Ricky Greg and their families with the passing of Vince, certainly Murrabit is a far better place from having Vince and his beautiful family living and working there.
May Vince rest in peace pain free.
If you lived in Murrabit you knew Vince. He was where you started if there was a problem. He could probably fix it or knew who could and he certainly had the key to open it, if it was a community building. It is an honour to know the Maher family and I grieve with you for the loss of this wonderful and generous man. Gail Hogg

Deepest condolonaces to Gwen and the family , at this sad time, knowing that Vince(R.I.P.) had a wonderfull and full lifetime and encouraged his family to continue these ideals.
Deepest sympathy to the Maher family. My time with Vince started in the footy sheds. There was nothing he didn’t know about taping and injuries and he willingly shared his knowledge. Our time together at inter league matches and when we met as opposition teams provided the opportunity to have a great chat. We both made the effort to find each other at the game. I will miss you Vince and that smiling face of yours. Rest in peace,
Dear Gwen, Shelley, Ricky, Greg and families you have our deepest sympathies on the passing of Vince, he was a true gentleman who will dearly missed.

Sue and Greame Hollingworth.
A well respected and kind man who was the heart and soul of Murrabit. Condolences to Gwen and family.
To Gwen, Rick, Greg & Shelly and families,
After having known Vince in conjunction with the dairy farming industry, which he was greatly respected and always seemed to be on the end of the phone when there was a break down it was ring Vince he’ll know.
Over the past years I became a trainer with MFN Clubs and have the privilege to work side by side with Vince and fondly remember for the first few months Vince kept his eagle eyes on me making sure I was doing the correct job which obviously made his own conclusion and was happy to let me just do my thing, Vince was and always will be Mr Murrabit, he was like a walking encyclopaedia of Dairy Milking Machines and MFN Clubs and Tennis Club and everything else that went on in Murrabit, he will be sadly missed by his family and many friends around the area.
Sadly missed and remembered by Colin & Adele McDougall.
Deepest sympathy to all the family during this sad time.
Alana, Ben and Austen Kelly
My condolences to the Maher family on the passing of Vince.

Sincere condolences to Gwen, Shelley, Rick, Greg and families on the passing of Vince. The term legend is often used loosely these days, but in the case of Vince and the Murrabit community, this term truly epitomises his standing and respect. Since we moved to Murrabit in 1988, Vince became a huge part of our lives through the football & netball club and Rec Reserve. We valued his friendship and guidance over the years and he will be sorely missed by us all. Rest in peace Vince.
Deepest sympathy to Greg, Karen and family on the passing of your Dad 💔💔
Vince, the unofficial “Mayor”of Murrabit.
His loyalty, dedication and commitment to the organisations and clubs to which he belonged was unparalleled. He didn’t ask for accolades, he just jumped in and got the job done because he loved being involved and helping out.
Our family moved to Murrabit in 1979 and have been friends with the Maher family ever since (for over 40 years). We have fond memories of nights at the Nyah Trots, Cub camps at Wood Wood, our annual New Year’s Eve gatherings and many more celebrations over the years. I particularly have wonderful memories of the annual Murrabit Easter Tennis Tournaments which Vince and I organised for a number of years. He was my mixed doubles partner in regular tennis competition on weekends.
Whilst Vince was a community minded person he was most of all a dedicated and loving family man.
The Murrabit community has lost an icon and legend. His legacy will live on through the organisations he served.
His family has lost a dedicated and loving husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather.
Our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are sent to Gwen, Shelley, Ricky, Greg and their families.
Vince was a true gentleman. So proud and privileged to be able to call him our friend.
