Remembering now, Auntie Chris,
one of the last things you ever said to me, after milking those cows….”Jewel, I must go now and paint the frost on the zinnias.”
A true artist.
Chris, a bautiful lady thank you so much for teaching me how to oil paint.
You will for ever be in my heart RIP my dear friend. Xx
A beautiful lady and a neighbour for many years. A quite achiever. Many paintings from early days in our house. Her cooking always filled a spot in ours and many others lives. Cared for everyone.

Rest In Peace dear Chris, you were always an inspiration to me, such talent and your quiet little smile as you went about getting things done. We so enjoyed our afternoon tea with you before we moved to Queensland. Lots of lovely memories of a wonderful, kind and humble lady RIP.
Aunty Chris, your smile always made me feel special, loved and in a peaceful place. You were a joy to be around. I marveled at your art skills and your love of nature nurtured the same in me. I fondly remember my stay at your farm with Ricky during our primary school days, the fresh smell of milk and grass and the lovely-natured cows.(I think they were influenced by you too.) Your home was always welcoming and filled with delicious cooking smells. I too, am blessed to have had you in my life and we will meet again one day. Rest peacefully.
Aunty Chris was the most beautiful, caring, giving person. I will never forget the great times we all had when we visited the farm, especially the sponges and milk shakes. Love forever, Murray.
With love and best wishes to all the Hawken family , on the passing of a very special lady who will always be remembered.

Aunty Chris has always been the most genuine, gentle and loving soul. Ever looking out and caring for others; a true giver in life. As a child I remember waiting in anticipation of her visits, looking forward to seeing her beautiful smiling and happy face despite her not only driving for miles but having milked the cows before she left. The car boot was always filled with her famous fresh baked sponges and slices and a bunch of flowers for my mum. Her love of God’s creation showed in her brilliant works of art and I treasure every minute I have spent with her. Anyone who ever met her would know true goodness. Always loved and forever missed.
Our dear Auntie Chris
A heart of gold and always welcoming.
We love you and miss you.
Rest now in peace.
