Such a lovely person, a true gentleman.
Absolutely loved my time with Mick. Chopping wood, up the fruit trees on scaffolding stripping fruit to stop the fruit fly as well as lots of other handy man jobs. Never had a hash word spoken by Mick.
Just seen the notice in the paper, so sorry I missed the funeral.
Condolences to the family

Uncle Mike was such a kind and loving man. He made us feel special and loved and always time for for the kids when we came to visit. We will miss his gentle nature and infectious smile. Rest in peace Uncle Mike.
I have nothing but fond memories of Uncle Mike. He was kind and gentle to everyone. Today while driving around Kerang I remembered that when a car would pass him he would simply raise one finger on the steering wheel as a salute or greeting to the other driver. As a kid I loved seeing him do that as no-one in the big smoke did that.
Our sincere sympathies to the Hallinan family on death of a much loved father and grandfather. Mick lived his life to the full and reared a wonderful family. Thinking of you you all. Have a candle lit. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Damian & Margo Killoran, Roscommon, Ireland.
Loving thoughts to Mick’s family on his passing. Memories of a lovely man who always made you smile. Rest peacefully Mick. Claire & Casey Gillen..

I have a happy memory, when my daughter Kylie visited Kerang when on tour with the Victorian concert orchestra and the compare introduced her as a Kerang girl Mick was standing up applauding and the compare said there is a proud dad, I always called Mick Kylies second dad after that day back in the late 1990s, they played together in the Kerang band 30 years ago, rest in peace Michael, condolences to the family

So sad to hear this news. Mick, you were a true gentleman with a big heart and smile even if you may not have felt up to it in those latter days. An amazing memory for names and always only encouraging and supportive words for everyone you knew. Time for you to rest in peace now Mick. God bless.
Mick Hallinan was natures gentleman. A long serving life member of Kerang and district band who I enjoyed playing alongside. Many memories of district travels from Deniliquin to Bendigo and everywhere in between. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Mick. If you wanted anything done, Mick was the man for the task. He will be sadly missed. Our sincere condolences to all the family.

Mick was a great friend to my late sister Caroline Hall. Caroline would ring for a chat.. quite often. He was patient and kind.
Condolences to the Hallinan family and friends. Love to all.
Many, many fond memories of granddad, who was just a beautiful, kind soul. Will always remember him drinking from his huuuge cup of tea and us eating peaches and icecream together, granddad putting another log on the fire and enjoying a well deserved nap in the recliner. Granddad always smiled and said hello to everyone in town and in church and knew everyone by name. Gutted that you didn’t get your queen’s letter granddad and that you didn’t get to meet your great granddaughter. Very glad Charlotte was able to bring you some joy during your phone calls. You will be missed granddad.
Love Mani, Mane and Charlotte (and Lychee!)
