Caz, where do I start? You will be so missed around Burke House, every time you seen me you would give me the biggest hug with your big bright smiling face! I remember telling you when I was pregnant and you made me beanies for Harry! Will cherish our times together! Even if they were times you would get cranky at me helping you clean your room! Luv ya long time! Rest Easy Beautiful Girl!
Thankyou Heidi
So wonderful to know how much Caz shared her love. She loves to make things and give. It filled her heart. Her sparkle will stay with us!
There are so many reasons that I have fond memories of Caroline.
I will always remember:
Her devotion to and concern for her immediate family, with whom she maintained contact as often as she could,
The way that she valued her special friendships, especially those which have endured over many years,
How she always demonstrated a kind, thoughtful and caring heart,
Her cheerfulness and how she liked to laugh and joke,
Her kindness to animals, with Caroline assuming responsibility for Michael the Burke House cat and previously the budgies,
Her creativity, as she was always either drawing, colouring, painting, knitting or crocheting (I especially remember the beautiful poppies she crocheted last year which were used for the wreath created by the residents for the special ANZAC Day celebration at Burke House),
Her enjoyment of music, with her frequently listening to and watching videos of her favourite artists,
Her willingness to have a go at playing music, on her guitar and my accordion,
Her occasional fondness for dancing, breaking into spontaneous moves when the mood took her,
How she always enjoyed helping others to celebrate their birthdays and special occasions, and
Her cooking prowess, especially her pasties, scones and egg and bacon pie.
Bless her beautiful soul. She was a unique and special woman who lived her life on her terms and I am so glad that I have been part of her Burke House support team over recent years and have shared some special experiences together. I will miss celebrating our shared birthday and will raise a glass in her honour on the 19th November.
Well done Miss Caroline and special thoughts for your family.
