Dear Debbie, Dale, Jake and your partners. Tammy and Jake, Hayley and extended family,
It was a real shock to find out last week that Cliff had passed away. I’ve known Cliff since high school. He came out to the farm a few times, we rode motorcycles along with others and that was one of his loves.
Back in 1993 I started doing a bit of casual truck driving for the Pickering Transport Group, Cliff was Manager. I just helped out when the farm wasn’t busy, and I found it enjoyable having a change. I’m very grateful for Cliff giving me the opportunity to come work alongside him and others. I was with Pickering’s until 2013, just before I left Kerang and moved to Heathcote.
When Cliff and Debbie eventually moved to Bendigo, I’d try and catch up with him, not often but when I could. He was a great fellow, I will miss him. He loved his close mates, Malcolm who virtually grew up with him, Bod, Arbo and many others. Condolences RIP.
To Deb, Dale, Jake, Tammy and all partners,
We are so lost for words right now and still coming to terms with the news of our funny, loving, caring and best mate Cliffy’s passing.
We will miss your sayings when you dropped into see us on your way out of Kerang – “We want the visitors biscuits” or “scones jam and cream would be nice, see you soon”.
Our friendship, car club outings and catch ups will never be the same without that wicked sense of humour.
We promise that we will check on your family and make sure they are all OK.
Until we meet again make sure you still enjoy your Friday nights, with a whisky or two and put your feet up.
R.I.P Cliffy❤️❤️❤️
