My deepest sympathy to Ken’s family. I first crossed paths with Ken in the late 1980’s and then more regularly in the past few years. He was a true gentleman, full of knowledge and always up for a chat. Rest in peace Ken.
My condolences to the family of Ken. He certainly was a gentleman. We had many discussions in the veterinary clinic in Leitchville and respected by us all. He valued our views as we did his. Sad to see these old stalwarts leaving us.
A good friend and an excellent Holstein Fresiian breeder. A life well lived.
Our deepest sympathy to Ken’s family.
I remember when Ken and Lillian came to our community to take up the opportunity of share farming. It was difficult, but they made the best of it and went on to become very successful farmers, wonderful community givers and carers, for which the Leitchville community have appreciated gratefully.
Ken displayed the ability to listen and provide advice along with loads of common sense and respect for others’ points of view. These set of words attached to a piece of machinery I discovered via Marong recently say it all
I expect to pass through this world, but once
Any good, therefore that I can do
Or any kindness that I can show
Let me do it now
Let me not defer or neglect for
I shall not pass this way again
Farewell Ken, will now join his wife Lillian and son Jack
No more bus trips around the district with you, which I shall miss greatly; Denise will also misread the weekly paper to you at the nursing home.
