It is with sadness that we announce the death of Ms Diana MITCHELL-DORRITY.
A Private Funeral Service will be held.
We wish to encourage you to express your sympathies and condolences to the family via a post on this announcement which the family are able to access and read.
TO Diana’s family my sincerest condolences.
I didn’t ever met her as we had connected through the family genealogy and history.
Diana was my 1st cousin 1x removed as her father David and my grandmother Jessie were siblings.
She told me once it was now up to me to keep the interest going, though I’m sure she never lost interest.
again, my sincerest condolences to the family particularly as we enjoy the family times at this end of the year…
Diana was my third cousin and had visited me in England as had her late mother.
It is only when you come to the list of those to whom you wish to send greetings at this time of year that you find so many who have passed.
Of all my cousins in Australia Diana was one I admired the most as she was so forthright. We had been out of touch so to find this news on line today is a great sadness.
My sincere belated condolences to the family.
What a beautiful lady now at peace. Deepest sympathy to all the Mitchell family . She will be sadly missed by all..sending much love love 💕
Oh Diana life is very quiet without you, no one poking fun at me, no one critiquing my outfit or whether there are any spelling errors on the calendar!

Deepest Sympathy to the Mitchell families. You taught my children at CCS and never failed to enquire where they were living and asking what they were up too. Then we became neighbours and I loved our chats. The night sky is a little bit brighter with your beautiful soul shining through. Rest in peace Diana.

What’s happening I would say oh I no that voice she would say to me where have you been I’ve missed you that’s all I needed to hear will miss you so much my love to you all 🧡🌹
Mrs Mitchell! One of my favourite primary school teachers, who taught me so much about libraries and books during my Consolidated School days (way back when) and also during work experience in high school. You had a wicked sense of humour, and sharp wit, with a deep warmth and sense of caring under that formidable personality. You have a lot of teachers as you go through your education days, but it’s often a very small group of them who you know truly shaped who you become, fostering the things that intrigue you, encouraging you over the years, and of whom you think often when reminded of them in some way. Mrs Mitchell you are definitely in that small group and I am forever grateful for everything you taught me, whether it was in a classroom, a library or the community. I’ll remember that cheeky grin when, after discussing an achievement in my life, you’d give me that Diana Mitchell look and say, with a smile and love, “I still think you should have been a librarian.” Love and sympathy to all your family, who no doubt have a million more stories they’ll be sharing of the way you shaped their lives.
gonna miss our chats at work and me always doing your cheese sandwiches wrong! you were the best miss seeing your face diana❤️❤️❤️

The members of the Cohuna & District Historical Society offer their sincere condolences to her family for their mother, granny & great granny, Diana, who died on 11th August. Di was an integral part of our society and had so much knowledge which she was always willing to share. She was a good organizer and a great teacher of the skills needed to run our society. Vale Diana, we will miss you.
