A Memorial Service for the life of Mrs Gwenda Rose HENDERSON will be held at the Boort Baptist Church on SATURDAY (7th May, 2022) commencing at 2.00pm.

A Private Burial will be held earlier.

Gwenda’s Services will both be live streamed on SATURDAY (7th May, 2022) commencing at 1.00pm for the Burial and 2.00pm for the Memorial Service at the Church.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Gwenda. What a lovely lady Gwenda was. My condolences to all the family. My Mum Irene Smith and I visited Gwenda a number of times. The Boort family have always felt special to me. We visited Alan and Daisy and Ivan and Patsy whenever in that area, which is not that often due to my living in Queensland. Jan and I called in and we had a cuppa with Gwenda in March last year on our way home from Mum’s Funeral. I took a beaut photo of Gwenda in front of her husband’s paintings on the wall of the lounge. It was always a pleasure to chat with you Gwenda.

I was sorry to hear of your passing today. I remember well our lovely chat at your cousin Irene Smith neé MacClelland, my now deceased Mum’s 90th birthday in 2017. A lady of great ability who was a great encourager to all she met. I will never forget her organ playing at the church which was of significant help to me during my time in ministry at Boort Church of Christ. I will miss her smile and her cheery greetings.
