Message from Elliot Carr.
David may have been a quiet man, yet he was full of life.
From the first time I visited the farm as a young fella who just adored tractors and machinery;I could only aspire to be something like David.
When I returned to the farm some years later: it clicked. Although I wasn’t there for a long time the memories of being there when I was younger flooded back.
All the sheds clean and all those tractors, headers, trucks, trailers and cars. All perfectly clean and neatly placed away.
David to me was a mentor and a figure to look up to.
As I find myself now studying agriculture 9 months of the year at university and my other 3 months driving harvesters, I’m working to achieve what David was able to do.
I owe a lot to David in giving me the opportunity to spend time at the farm. As this time I spent with him guided me and made me realize what I wanted to do.
And that was to be just like him!
Finally for all the opportunities David gave me I will forever be grateful.
RIP David
