Dear Auntie Gwen, Jenny, Peter, Anthony and extended family. Sincere sympathy on the loss of a much loved husband, father and grandfather. There was always a cheery smile and hullo whenever we caught up with Uncle Doug.
Great bowler, great friend, great man…………rest in peace Doug and dream of the shot many bowlers saw you play, driving the jack into the ditch and taking the score from 1 shot down to 3 shots up.
Dear Gwen, Jen, Peter, Anthony & families, our condolences on the loss of Doug our thoughts are with you. Kevin & Gilda
Great man behind the stumps and with a cricket bat in hand. Will always remember the best stumping ever at Bendigo country week final off fast bowling! Sympathies to Gwen and the family.
Hope you can hear me. You were the best uncle: even the reason I barrack for Geelong.
I was sorry to learn of Doug’s passing. Condolences to Gwen, Jenny, Peter, Anthony and their families. I remember Doug from the Leitchville days. He was a nice man and a great cricketer. From Kevin Brereton.
Dear Auntie Gwen, Jenny, Peter and Anthony, and all the grandchildren: it is so sad to hear that Uncle Doug has passed away. He was the last of his siblings. A long life well lived. Take care. Gaell and Geoff
