Quotation
It takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow,
In so many ways Winifred would have experienced them all during life’s journey, whenever that opportunity arose Winifred continued to make rainbows for us all. May she rest in peace for a for a life well lived. There will be many memories to cherish by us all.

My sympathies go to Winifred’s family. Winifred was a guiding light when I joined the Cohuna A. P. & H. Society committee. We worked together in the show office for many years and I know that the Cohuna Show was a passion of hers. She was a keen exhibitor and earlier this year she rang me chasing a show schedule so she could enter her work (unfortunately we didn’t have a full pavilion section).
Kirstin Nicholson
The Cohuna A. P. & H. Society extends its condolences to Winifred’s family. Winifred had a long association with the Cohuna Show. In an interview, she recalled being at the show around 5 years old, at the original show location, ‘the Rec’ (where the Secondary College is now). She entered the pavilion competitions from the early 1950s and had success at regional and state levels. She joined the Ladies Committee in the early 1960s and was president in 1975-78, 1998 and 2004. During that time, she was also a valued stewardess in the pavilion. Many will remember Winifred as the pavilion secretary; taking entries in the show office and overseeing the pavilion.
In 2006, Winifred was presented with an honorary life membership. Winifred was a valuable contributor to the Cohuna Show and a large part of its success.
