To Glen, Fiona, Evan and families: I extend my sympathy to you all at the loss of your Mum. It is a long time since we saw each other in person but had corresponded via e-mail not all that long ago. She was obviously a brilliant historian. It is hoped that her work will inspire others. Thank goodness she wrote the Botcher/Storm history back in 1984…. a book to which many regularly refer. Colin Semmler, Katoomba NSW

Rest well dear Jenny, so many beautiful memories of Genealogy searches over the years. Many good times spent together researching. Thanks Jenny for all the good times and your wisdom so willingly shared. Deepest sympathy to all of Jenny’s family, she was one in a million
I will keep so many, many happy memories of Jenny – barbeques at Bareena, cruising on the Wetlander, our jaunts to various cemeteries and records offices, the endless cups of coffee while solving questions of the past, the world’s problems, and so much more. I will miss her always welcoming smile, sense of humour and sage advice. And for all the many things she taught me, for her endless depth of knowledge and willingness to share it I will be forever grateful.
Such a beautiful service. My Love to you all
Sincere condolences to Glenn, Fiona and Evan on the sad passing of your Mother and Nan. A long time neighbour and friend of Frank and Irene Trezise
Deepest Sympathy to Jenny’s beloved family. She was such a gem who will be sadly missed Love Yvonne & family
The members of the Cohuna & District Historical Society wish to express their deepest sympathy to the family of our friend Jenny. Jen was an inaugural member of our society and the amount of information left behind is a testament to her diligence. She was meticulous and prolific in her research of our local area. For 50 years she has written and collated books and folders of stories and facts that have been relevant to many family history researchers. She could answer almost any question you asked her and if she didn’t know the answer, it was usually texted in a couple of days. On our behalf, she was a regular visitor to Public Record Offices in Laverton, North Melbourne and almost fortnightly visits to Ballarat. She and Mavis were almost regular fixtures at Ballarat and were on a first name basis with the staff and other researchers. Our Historian at Rest. Vale Jenny.
So sorry to hear of Jennies passing , our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Rose and Alan Millar
Our deepest sympathy to Glen, Fiona, Evan and family, from Una and Noel Lake

Love and sympathy to all Jenny’s family my thoughts are with you all. Jenny was a special friend, our lives have had many things in common.
I first got to know Jenny through the management committee of the Gannawarra Neighbourhood House, then during the 10 years that followed the opening of the Cohuna Neighbourhood House when providing the Learning Assistance Program for children and teenagers.
As a tutor Jenny had a wonderful way with young people, we worked together as tutors and organizers of this program trying to build skills, knowledge, and importantly confidence in our students. Aside from tutoring we enjoyed long discussions about research, family history, books, and our families, always with laughs and a “cuppa” at that long kitchen table.
Recently, we once again chatted and shared many things , including laughs. I miss you my special friend. Margot McNeil.
Our deepest sympathy and condolences on the sad loss of Jenny.
Our thoughts are with you all.
Jenny and our family have kept in touch over many years, either sharing family history and many other family moments/stories.

Deepest sympathy to Jenny’s family from Joy & Robert Taylor.
Sending love and support to all Jenny’s family and friends at this sad time. Some comfort is coming from Jenny being able to remain at home which was absolutely her wish but my heart is heavy.
I first met Jenny some 20 years ago, following Fiona and Gary’s marriage. Her energy and commitment to family, her community and recording history were inspirational. I have loved the time spent with and getting to know Jenny’s extended family and shared times with our grandsons Jordan and Harry we’re always wonderful. My love to you all as we travel through this journey overlaid by the restrictions of our Corona virus times.
