My sincere sympathy to Kat and family on the loss of our friend, Kim, Thankyou for the invitation to his memorial service today. A beautiful service so fitting of Kim. It was an honour to be there to celebrate Kim’s life and friendship . I live across the road from him and everyday I look over and see his house and beautiful garden.
It was a pleasure to know him. ?
Great service we attended for Kim Johnson RIP .Miss you heaps
Thankyou for the opportunity to join with Kim’s family and friend’s in this wonderful celebration of his life. I knew Kim through our years at La Trobe and observed his passion for life and his art. I remember both his humour and his grumpy side. I thank Sarah for the opportunity to spend a short time with Kim while he was in hospital . A time he recounted past events with special friends as well as his plans for the future a time that went all too quickly.
Thank you for the live streaming of Kim Johnson, it was a beautiful Memorial Service 🙂
I studying with Michael at La Trobe. He is a creative, beautiful person and will be missed.

Kim and I met in 2018 when we both did an intensive subject together at uni. I was incredibly fond of Kim while he simultaneously drove me up the wall and this made for good conversation and exchange of ideas. He once described our friendship as “two comets hitting each other” and we expressed we were both better people for having spent the time together that we did.
Kim had a garden to be envious of, a proud exterior with hidden gentleness and was incredibly generous with his time. When Kim contacted me to let me know he was sick, he apologised that he wasn’t contacting with much happier news. He was a presence in a room if I’ve ever seen one and he is sorely missed.
Kim was the epitome of pursuing things you loved(studying and doing art) and really showed me that at any age, you can and should only be doing something that brings you joy and satisfaction.
Peace, beautiful Kim, whenever I go to the Bendigo Art Gallery, I shall forever order a bottle of our favourite red.
Hoping I can view this
Kim and me were friends at Royal Wanstead School. I had not heard from or of him for years and often wondered where he was, what had become of him and so on. Facebook brought us back into contact and we were able to take up where we had left off. We laughed, sniggered and often acted as though we wers kids again. I have lost a friend and will remember him – always
