I had the pleasure to deliver meals on wheels to Mrs Greenman. She was a delight to serve, always happy and forever grateful. Her cheerfulness and her smile were infectious. I was so sorry to read of her death. My thoughts are with her family, people I’ve never met but loved seeing all the photos she would proudly show. Christine O’Donoghue xx

Sadly I saw Valda’s notice in the paper today and I wish to send my condolences to you. Valde, who I never met, was a relation of mine. We both descend from John Blackmore and Alice Handford, who settled in Maldon a long time ago. My father is Hedley Blackmore, the youngest child of Richard, whose father was John. On my mother’s side of the family ‘Cox’ also from Maldon, I believe Valda’s father lived lose by to my unlcle Jess Cox. Regards. Carol
