Celebrating by memory Rex’s life and his myriad of contributions to his Community.
His knowledge of birds, trains and music along with photography was a treat to learn through. Who can ever forget his Lagerphone! Enjoyed our streetside chats.
My sympathy to his immediate and extended family and his many friends. Rest In Peace
Sorry to see Rex has passed. For many years and back when his wife Margaret was alive, we’d cross paths walking our dogs at the levee, I think Rex has had 3 in the time I’ve known him – Toby & Archer recently, can’t remember the one before that. My sympathy to Peter & Andrew in your sadness. Rex will always be remembered here in Kerang for his contributions in the community and friendships.
So sorry to hear of Rex’ passing. Have missed seeing him around the levy on our morning walks. Always up for a chat and happy to point out the bird life. To Andrew and Archie (his gorgeous dog) and extended family, my deepest condolences. RIP Rex..
Rex was a true gentleman with a sense of humour and a quick wit right to the very end. Very sad news but now reunited with Margaret who was always missed by Rex. My thoughts are with Peter and Andrew at this time, Rex was a valued resident at Northaven who will be sadly missed for his jokes and playing his lagaphone with entertainers who visited.
Oh Rex, I’m so sorry to hear of your passing. You were such a fun and music filled man, and always loved being part of community events and activities. You will be missed, especially at U3A.
It is with great sorrow that I acknowledge the passing of Rex. My heartfelt condolences go out
to Peter, Andrew and the extended family.
I enjoyed our lengthy time together on the Kerang and District U3A committee, the U3A Choir and in the Kerang Musical Society Choir, where Rex’s unique character was very evident. He loved his music!
In U3A Rex not only contributed greatly as a leader, but in so many ‘behind the scenes’ ways. He was so reliable, capable, humble and amusing and hence such a worthy Life Member of U3A.
He was kind and compassionate to others and showed great courage in his own struggles.
Memories of Rex seem to bring forth smiles ; he will be sorely missed by many.
I am very sorry that circumstances prevent my attendance at Rex’s funeral.
RIP Rex.
Our sympathy to the family, he will be missed. Loved his trains and bird-life, walking his dog and chatting to all. A friendly person, R I P Rex with Margaret.
You were a true gentleman, Rex. Compassionate, sincere, and always putting others before yourself. Whether as a mentor, a friend, or a confidant, you led with humility and wisdom, always guiding those around you with patience and understanding. Many of us are better because of the lessons you taught—whether they were about life, photography, or how to face challenges with grace.
You were not only a mentor, but a friend, and for that, we are all forever grateful. You’ve left an indelible mark on our lives and in our hearts, and though we mourn your passing, we know your legacy will live on in the countless lives you touched.
Rest in peace, Rex. You’ll never be forgotten.
You always had a smile on your face and a joke up your sleeve! I hope your sense of humour is able to continue in the after life. ❤️
So sad of Rex passing a lovely man RIP🙏❤️
Such a gentleman will be missed
